Bugger! I understand what you mean in regards to how they fly, finchbreeder. I was hoping for more than one pair in that space though. :|
I'm thinking I might by some square mesh and redo the wires but there isn't really a way that I could put it on its side given that the tray sits on the bottom, etc.... Hmmmmm

Easy fix!

This current aviary becomes your "holding aviary" and you either buy or make a suitable (I really mean the biggest) aviary you can.
Once you have your 5 posts there a lots of aviary build pics to get ideas from.

Ah when the kids come along that's what got me back into finches, started with a pair of Gouldians and took off from there
What do you have now, brooksy? Where are you located?
Gday Benny I'm down in Ocean Grove. At the moment I have Gouldians in 3 normal colours, Blue face parrot, Painteds, Chestnuts, Hecks, normal Zebras, Double bars, Red brows and the list goes on.

I do love the look of the normal Gouldians. I reckon that's what I'll end up getting. Do you know if anyone has any for sale by chance? Out of curiosity, what are the Gouldians ok to be kept with? Just for future reference, for when I get my ideal setup.

Now that you have your 5 posts up go to the Classifieds and you will see who is selling what in your area. And can advertise for what you want.
