I have started using those boxes, the reason behind my change is mainly to slow the departing bird.
For some reason numerous pairs fill their nest boxes with material, other times it is my fault for not
cleaning them out after the clutch leaves the nest. Other times the birds are too quick and are laying
days after their latest nest has fledged. With nest boxes so full I found eggs being dragged out and sitting near
the entrance hole never to hatch. With these new boxes the departing bird must go through the entrance then stop and turn
90deg to exit. Since using them not an egg has appeared at the entrance. I think they are made by someone in or near
Sydney as I got my 1st lot at Castle Hill sale and the last lot at Singleton.
