Well I have not seen plumheads in the wild for many years.....but if anyone wants to see them there is a flock of about a dozen at the Stayover Caravan park at Blackwater....got pretty close too before I relised what they were...wish I had a camera on me....

it may well have been a family flock as the quick look I got looked to be more hens (young colouring up?) ....

I saw quite a few along the creek down by Calliope Cattle Companies main gate - they are hard to spot initially until you get used to the call.
