Quail breeding age??

Silver or any other colour King Quail will breed quite young. Can't honestly say that I have taken that much notice of how young, but by 6 months definately.

Hi Rob,
Totally agree with the responses to date. I usually separate males and females as soon as identified. I have one good breeding male that will literally maim seriously any of his youngsters that start to colour as a male. I put that down to him being a territorial male and sees any young male as a breeding age threat (despite it being his progeny and only a couple of months old).
