Hi would anyone know if the New Zealand Christmas Bush is okay for birds?
Metrosideros Excelsa
I have Scarlet Chested parrots and wanted to put some of the folliage into my aviary for them to chew on.
I can't find anything on the internet.

New Zealand Christmas Bush?
Nobody in NZ ever calls this New Zealand Christmas Bush. It is known as Pōhutukawa here.
and yes, it is completely safe. had it for years with my finches.
cheers, case

Thanks, I have one growing in front of my bedroom window that I want to remove. So I was wondering if I can offer it to them as a way of gradually getting rid of it.
