Try not to associate with anyone from the opposite sex for a month and see how you feel.
This happens in single sex schools sometimes. And no I am not advocating anyone should choose to follow your suggestion unless they wish to. But homosexuality already exists in the bird world and only the innocent or ignorant believe otherwise. (Queen Victoria did not believe in Lesbians)
There are more male birds than female birds arround already. So are these birds better off in batchelor colonys? Or should we ring their necks?
