At the fairfield bird sale i bought 2 red factor lizard canaries, and after quarantine have put in aviary, the male has been singing like mad and i have seen him feed the hen, also looks like they are making a nest, is it possible for them to breed at this time of year. I used to breed canaries before in the back aviary but cant remember them ever breeding in winter. Still have 1 sole cock in that aviary.

I have a Gloster canary cock here who is whistling his head off and trying to convince his lady it is breeding season too. She fortunately thinks he is a fool.
