I don't think it is mites Dave just a condition that happens to some breeding gouldians probably due to stress or to age? as those feathers wont grow back till he moults. Time out for him will most likely get him back in shape. Cheers Craig

He only last years young...dosed him up on moxi and baycox in hospital cage....he is looking 100% now ....I'll lower temp over next few days and send him home

Well last couple of seasons l now have dark factors in all 3 head colours as well as a couple of hens..slowly slowly...you can see the difference in blue on nape and green back when compared to normal male..

Yes they are certainly different..especially when in sunlight you can really see how much difference there is....camera doesnt do them justice at a distance... FinchBreeder
