Never ever be afraid to do whats right if the well being of an animal is at stake.

I do love my chestnut mannikins. They have good personalities, aren't demanding and are always interesting to watch. I also like there colours, an interesting mix of of the subtle brown tones. Not every bird has to have bright colours to be interesting in my book.

Out of all the Aussie Natives I would have to say the Red Eared Firetail would have to be one of the most interesting species out there. A cousin of mine has them visit there grass tennis court daily in Manji in the South West of WA.
For a non bird people they don't understand what all the fuss is about when sit and watch them for hours??

Even though I have never had any other type of finch apart from Zebras (awesome little finch). I am quite fond of Painted for some reason. Always like Masked's and Pictorella some day will have them.

My favorite is probably the Zebra, with Double bars and Hecks very close.
