has anyone seen these birds in the flesh? got some or know of anyone who does?
what price to they command? how secure are they?

the reason i ask is because they look pretty bloody fantastic to me!

however i do wonder how similar their care is to other finches since technically, red pileated finches are not even a finch at all!

in actual fact this "finch" is just a finch-like Tanager.

tanagers are a beautiful group of birds from the americas. and that makes them even more special in my book.

so anyhow. when i get good at breeding birds and all.... I WANT SOME!

i dont even think they are even in Australia and even if they were they i would say theyd be up around 2000-3000 mark i would say

they are definitely in australia. i have seen them advertised and mentioned in (few) articles. however i am looking for more info.

they are however very expensive. i'll be waiting until i'm a bit more experienced before i fork out the cash for these babies.......

you bought any through ace,toothless? I have seen there adds,and have thought about purchessing through them.

i have rang them because i wanted a few bords from them that i realy wanted and the guy that aswered the phone was a jerk. i asked him aa few questions and he replied with pretty much 1 word answer so ill not buy from them now.
