Hi,

Welcome back to the monthly Aussie Finch Forum newsletter! Sorry about not delivering a newsletter last month; these things take a long time to put together and sometimes there just isn't enough hours in a day.

Today marks the first day of summer, although based on the rain falling on most of the country's capital cities, it might be a little while before the "real" summer gets here. The extended spring is great news for our finch breeding efforts though, and it's proving to be an exceptional season for a lot breeders. If you're having an especially good (or bad) season, lets talk about it on AFF!

In forum-related news, we've just soft-launched an aviculture supplies store over at Aviculture Hub. Bulk-buy Womabroo/Passwell products currently make up the majority of the product range, but we're working hard to add more products. Once things are ironed out a little more, we'll be offering discounts for AFF members who'll then be able to save money and support the forum. Keep an eye out for more details over the coming weeks.

African Silverbill

The African silverbill is a small estrildid finch found in dry savanna habitat across central African. They've been established in captivity throughout much of the world, where they are appreciated for their low care requirements and ease of breeding. SIlverbills can be difficult to obtain, as their drab colouring makes them unpopular among breeders.
