Hi,

Welcome to the September Aussie Finch Forum newsletter. We've had a lot of activity on the forum this month, as the weather continues to warm and members get started on their aviary construction and bird breeding projects.

We learned yesterday that there's a La Niña weather event heading toward Australia, which is likely to cause an unusually wet spring and summer in the northern and eastern parts of the country.

Wet, warm conditions are the perfect climate for bacterial diseases and parasite infections. This season, more than most others, it's important that your aviaries are well-draining and that your worming control regiment is up to par.
