Well I took hold of my new mutations to add to my Mutation List. Fawn and Cream Parsons. Excellent looking birds.
Hope to enjoy these and get some to the perch. Would like to build the size up on the Fawns and Creams they seem a bit smaller than the Split Cock birds.

Fawns and cream parsons originally came from hybrids of fawn and cream hecks and were bred back to parsons as much as possible to look like a parson but size was forfeited to the hecks. Breed back to the wild type parson as much as possible to get size.
I did see this process by a person in Sydney, there was some weird looking specimens along the way. Craig

Yes, they're a bit like the mutation Alexandrines which are just ringneck hybrids + most recent Rainbow Lorikeet mutations, Rosella mutations, Lovebirds, etc. They all fall well short of the real deal.
The splits will always look bigger as they are at least one outcross closer to the normal bird.
Pretty ordinary way to establish a new form of any bird IMO.

Had my first Chocolate Parsons hatch today hope all goes well. Looked like 2 had hatched. My first time with Parsons the Creams have had 2 clutches both clear with second pair not doing anything.
