Very happy with my newest finches:

They wouldn't go into the sun for photos, but the cock was hovering around catching little gnatty things and posed upside down and sideways for me.

They seem interested in this hollow, though I thought they would build their own.

hope they behave for you too.
i think the "gnatty things" may be flying aphids, which they like, and are around in profusion at the moment.
the canola crops are flowering now and the corresponding aphid explosion is happening, look for milk thistles and they will be covered in them. :thumbup:

Great shots Matty,they are the North Eastern race with the grey heads as seen in your cock bird,the North Western race has a stunning black crown in the cock bird. Craig :thumbup: :thumbup:
