When they said Bloods like Emu feathers, they weren't kidding. In the last fortnight I've thrown a couple of large Emu feathers into a pair of Bloods & they've been playing around with them ever since. I put about a dozen large ones in & they toyed with them & made a bit of a platform in a hanger holding up the tea tree, but didn't touch any grass I put in with them. In the last 3 days, they've got stuck in to the grass & started having a proper go, so I added about another 20 large & 12 small Emu feathers, they lasted all of 5 minutes. The last two days I've added about the same each day, with the same result. So far thats nearly 100 feathers, & their still building. Will try to get a couple of photos over the weekend.

Having trouble getting the photo file size down low enough with out any loss in resolution, so till I figure it out, you'll just have to be satisfied with the builder, not the building

Thanks mate, worked a treat. Took it from 3.6 meg to 90kb & minimal loss of resolution.

They're still taking about 12 feathers a day, & I moved the other pair, yesterday, into a 6' suspended holding cage so they could get more direct sunlight till I finish off their aviaries, threw some tea tree & bracken in to give her a bit of protection & a few feathers for him to play with, & thisarvo saw a few of them placed in a corner beneath some bracken, so might have both pairs down before I get the bloody cages done.
