My mistake.
Going back to the original post.
The governing factor of what you can keep is aviary size and layout.
An aviary 3mx2mx2m will dictate the birds behaviour far different to a 10mx6mx2m aviary.
I have a large aviary about tennis court size and the birds act far differently than my aviaries
quarter of that size. In fact I get far bigger clutches from my Gouldians housed in the smaller
aviaries. Five in the big aviary is a rarity generally 3 yet in smaller aviaries rarely under 4.
While I no longer keep Zebras finches from memory I can't remember breeding very big clutches
except when I presumed 2 hens laid in the one nest. The dominant hen would drive the other away.

In view of these huge numbers of massive clutches, perhaps a little television in one corner. ;-)

I have Bourke Parrots with my Gouldians & they get along fine. There is a pair of each in a aviary 3.5 x 1.8 x1.2

Mine share mixed finch aviaries with a wide range of native & foreign finches (+ a few softbills) with no interspecific issues involving the Gouldians.
I have some young Gouldians currently in holding aviaries which contain Scarlet-chested Parrots & the clumsy flutter of fledgling Scarlets unsettles the Gouldians so I wouldn't personally mix the 2 when Gouldians are breeding.

If you plan on breeding Gouldians and wanting the best results possible my advice would be to only house Gouldians together.
Good luck breeding.

Hi Saxon

I used to keep mine with zebs, red siskins, green singers and painteds.

the aviary was 3.8 long by 2.5 deep by 1.8 high.

The only thing I never bred was the green singers but they all got along well.
Breeding Project 2020-2025.
agate mosaic canaries, agate yellow mosaic canaries, red zebs, self bengos and goldfinch mules.

gouldians are easy to breed just like zebras

had brilliant results with keep gouldians with zebs for the last 2 years

just make sure zeb nests have smaller entrance holes so gouldians cant enter
