Interesting to say the least, love the "Handle" which basically translates to South African Bull Mastiff.

Gee, I thought "blues" were dear at $400, this leaves them for dead!

A pretty bird, but grounds for divorce if I bought them.

Cinnamon?
For mutations and their combination I would only keep and breed what I find appealing regardless of price.
To me I don't see a lot of visual difference between this bird and a cheaper to produce blue/yellow combination.
Hat off though to the breeder for his time and money spent to produce this bird/s.

Well I bought my cinnamon Gouldians at $1800 each , yes each from Flavio in Melbourne and have already bred more than 30 young very happy with them , I know the seller of these birds and he bought them from another breeder in Melbourne , the seller of these birds is not happy with them that's why they are up for sale.

I agree with Boma, that $1800 seems to be a fair price for such a rare mutation, as long as the buyer is obtaining a young birds that will be capable of reproducing themselves. However, I saw this same advert on Gumtree, and noticed that the legs and feet, appeared to be covered in scales. This to me would indicate that this bird was older than one year, and probably closer to 3 & 4 years.
So I rang the seller, and was told that is bird was breed in 2017. That didn’t make any sense to me?
The seller, then went on to tell me that he had obtain this bird from a Melbourne breeder in Jan or Feb of this year.
He also told me that he was angry at the deception of being sold old birds at such a high price.
So, at that point, I decide not to proceed in making an offer to him.
You would think that, if indeed this had been a young bird, particularly after parting with a pile of money, he would definitely not be selling it without breeding from it, before the end of this breeding season.
