Hen??

I have a "hen" that looks like a hen, gets courted by males like a hen but it courts males?? exactly as they do...does anybody elses hens do that? :eh:

You get the odd hen like that. I have a BH Gouldian hen. Nothing the 1st year. 1 egg the 2nd year and lost her mate. 4 eggs this year with new mate, and YAH 2 chicks have hatched and are about 7/10 days old. So maybe your girl will be like this.

I can't see any red on the chest and hard to tell, but does it have any red on its face and rump?

Yes and does the hop thingy....then chases males around..

I know of black mutants/forms where all frontal red is absent so it could possibly be a male of this form I guess - or just a very butch hen. Have you had it with a known hen to see what happens?
