Thanks for the advice. I get the impression that they're underrated as a bird, and probably under-kept as a result. I'll definitely give them a go.

A young, unrelated pair on Gumtree at the moment. Not far from me, and only $35! I think I've found my Plumheads!

Very attractive little finch with a lot going for them

I wouldn't regard them as 'automatic' breeders though, and definitely don't touch thir nests or they will desert

I'm sure you will enjoy your 'Plummies' :thumbup:

PS White feathers wil turn them on
