Yellow and red together? Why not?

I have 1 pair of red and 1 pair of yellow in one of my aviaries and rarely do they go near each other.
They both succesfully rear chicks with no problems. Never see them at the food table at the same time,
for some reason they stay at opposite ends of the aviary, almost advoiding each other.

I think mixing the Western and Eastern body types would be more of a no-no. Can't see a problem with the head colour, other than that mentioned of winding up with splits. So feel free to spread the blame arround. :yawn:
