Hi everyone,

I bred these male zebras and both show some red feathers in the breast bar, around the cheek patch and have lighter wing feathers.
They were bred from an orange breasted zebra male with unknown parents and a charcoal hen who I bred from a charcoal pair so I was expecting the young to all be grey splits. Does this mean I have the red breast gene in my charcoal line or are they splits? The red breast fawn is the father.

They're splits. They can show small amounts of orange in the breast despite only being split for it.
