Some (& only some) males can be over the top with their territoriality around the nest. I've had a couple which thought any bird coming within a few metres of the nest should be crash tackled. Having said that, I also highly recommend them as an ideal cup-nester to try.

Not normally a drama through the wire with neighbouring Cubans. Same aviary may be a different story but nextdoor should be fine.
