I bought 2 pairs last year. Lets call them Mr and Mrs Green, Mrs Orange and Mr white(rings) The greens and Mr White immediately struck up together and ostracised Mrs Orange. The greens nested and Mr white even shared sitting duties and when their one young fledged he fed it too. I bought another male and he and Mrs Orange are nesting at present. The greens and Mr White went down again in their threesome mode and have just fledged another 1 young. I am not sure how bigger part Mr White plays, if you know what i mean!! and is it impacting on clutch size? Don't get me wrong, two ones are better than none but should i let them continue or break up the party?
Thanks for any help.

I reckon an extra male will almost certainly reduce clutch size/ fertility due to interference at courtship/mating.
