Description:
Adult – Even though they are called green, their colour is actually yellow. Some black markings can be seen on the face & cheeks. These dark markings have a washed out look on the hen. The top of the head, back and wings are
Juveniles – Are visually the same as the hen.
Sexing:
On an adult hen you will find a band/ring of black spots around the upper chest/ throat area. A cock bird will not have any of these spots.
Note though that a young male will have some of these spots until moulting.
