Do cordons usually build a number of nests before choosing one, and if the cock bird is immature would it be fair to say that he does not know how to mate with the hen.Have seen him doing his dance and the hen comes close to him with her tail wagging very quick but the cock bird doesn't follow on with the job.A number of nests have been built but birds not showing signs of eggs present cause they re not sitting.Heaps of live food available (termites) any ideas as to what might be going on..Dont know the age of the birds but have purchased them from separate places.

With quite a few species it can take time for new pairings to get things right. i would give them a go for awhile and see what happens, particularly if the birds are young.

Agree, i fthey are young it will take one to three goes to get into the swing of things. Ye stehy will build a nest here and there, often you wount know when they have gone down as they can be very tight sitters. If they are being feed well, greens, sprouted seeds, insects then it is just a matter of time.
