hi,

I would like to know what is the singing melody of a rufous backed mannikin male??
Does anyone have a video showing it??

They only usually make a few warbling notes in few seconds

Rufous Mannikin song is virtually inaudible.

Better said, in his cientific name is lonchura negricep
The one i have here just makes a very loady "Piu" and nothing more.

You can see the beak moving but bugger all noise comes out - I think its below a frequency we can hear easily.

Ok, so the conclusion i get is that yhe bird i have is a female.
It only make a very short Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiuuu.
I must get a male for her.
