Noticed this guy hyping out when I went in for the weekend clean and the morning feed.

He all of a sudden flew the nest and was flying around the aviary albeit very slowly.

I thought he looked a little under done (hatched on Jan 13) so I popped him back with his nest mate as the temps here are a bit cool today.

Hoping he and the other will make it to adults.

Good to see he can fly a little...bit uncomfortable with his preference for resting on the aviary wire.

They often fledge at about that age i.e. a bit under cooked. Might be worth putting a bit of brush or branches low down or even on the ground so he'll hang out there rather than on the wire.

nested in a cylinder nest on the front wall of aviary,hope of many more for this season
