I had a clutch of 5 healthy young Tri Nuns fledge a few days ago. This is nothing unusual as they are generally very good breeders. But the female died 15 days prior to fledging so the male reared them since they were just 5 days old.
This was just their 2nd clutch so I'll definitely be keeping him & pairing him to another hen when these young are independent. He has impressed me with his effort so far - he gets my father of the year award.

I'll have another hen here for him - that's his prize.
