I know of 1 breeder here in Qld that has about 6 pair...but he will not sell any...trust me, I have tried!!!

Some of the ones around in the late 90s were a real mixed bunch ie variable in size and colour- and quite overweight.

Of course, couldn't get any info on their origins.

I think the ones around today are more typical of the true Peale's that can be seen in Europe etc.

Mind you my favourite is the Pin-tailed PF, and I did see some in the past, but that's a subject for a new post!

I also love pintails... Saw a pic the other day taken in 1998 in Australia of a pair of pintails with a male blue cap in the background. BEST COMBINATION OF BIRDS EVER!!!!!!!!!!! :lol: :D :roll:
