Just picked up another hen Tri-Colour yesterday, only starting to colour, but definate hen. She will be going in with the other hen & 3 cocks. Once they figure out who's who, I'll seperate the pairs & hopefully by years end there will be more

I nearly went Tri-coloured, but went for an old Fav, Blue Faced.......love their song :D ......heard of anyone with Peales PFs?.....I used to watch them in the garden when I lived in Fiji.....coulda grabbed a few but I knew I wasnt staying long enough to establish an aviary :cry:

I know Russel Kingston wrote about them in an issue of the Birdkeeper in the early '90's, but not sure if he actually had them.

I'm sure someone has them in Aus.....but I bet they came in stuffed in hair rollers, coz no-one's saying anything :|

they have to be available in australia as we over here in the west are aloud to keep them. . probably high on the rare list but there probably a visitor or two to this forum that has kept them....they also have a negotiable price tag over here so your looking probably $1500 plus....pete

There were a dozen or so at the Gunnedah bird sale in late March not 100% sure on price.

Was very tempted but very controlled.Selling only sold 30 out of 50 still short of room. sale cage was supposed to be empty
