Tell her the world of aviculture NEEDS you to preserve them for the future. :D Particularly at $2ea :o If I was up there I could just see rows of avairys each with a different type of Munia. 8-)

Wow! Where on earth did you find them? I have a couple of pairs but have been searching for more. Did you get them locally?

Peter mandry in Vic usually has a few for sale.
Well done on the purchase, they are getting rarer so good luck breeding them!
Yes deb, in the Australian Aviary Life magazine, Adam Fitzgerald (friend of mine) has just gotten back into them, no success yet.

Matt, it goes to show that some one always finds what you have been looking for, ironically its normally right under our nose. I hope you find some for yourself. I dont know of any around here.
The Riverina Finch Club are concentrating on the White/Silver headed Nun. Might be a point of contact on tracking down more Black heads!

Hope you guys have some luck breeding those black heads. Local bird/pet supplier has had the odd black or white head over the past few years but never more than 1 at a time. :(

Just saw a pair of Rufous Backs at the Canberra sale. I know the guy who bought them, can't wait until he breeds them!
