Thoughts on frozen maggots/ gents?

Has anyone had any success in feeding their birds frozen maggots? Or should I not bother with them a keep feeding them mealies? Was thinking of giving both if people had success with frozen maggots. Cheers

Imo it's a waste of time unless you are feeding fish with them. Most finches won't touch them unless they move and they decompose turning black very quickly.
If you want to keep and breed finches start your own fly cage,it's not that hard to do. Cheers Craig
