Do you know a thing or two about Neophema parrots then perhaps you could make a submission directly or through your State or national Avicultural Councils to make changes to the proposed Orange Bellied Parrot Revovery Plan. Comments close on November 7, so you have to be fast. I've never kept them but having all those captive birds in only 3 facilities is an accident waiting to happen - they almost lost the lot to PBFD when they first started their captive breeding program without adequate biosecurity protocols. I hope some members an help this species and future aviculturists now because unfortunately for this species as it's unlikely this species has any future in the wild. None of us want it to go the way of the Paradise parrot or the Southern Star-finch.
