I have an opportunity to purchase a pair of Blue-throated conures. I have kept similar, these being: Quakers, Green cheeks, Maroon-bellies and Jenday Conures in the past. At the moment the only parrot species I have is a pair of King Parrots. I have a spare aviary to suit, just for some reason I feel a little apprehensive. Any advice would be appreciated.

Some years ago a mate of mine bought a small number of parrots for a large number of dollars as part of his retirement programme
Among them was a pair of BTC's, for which he paid $8K . . . By the time he'd bred a couple $4k was the going rate
What are they 'worth' these days?
