Was in the pet market in Peru and was hoping to see more than budgies and Zeus but that's all there was. Brown and black cheek Zebs and an orange faced budgie.
Anyone ever seen an orange faced budgie?
I'll start a new post soon as my incidental bird spotting is leading me to see some awesome things. Odd coloured sparrows and various breeds of Siskin all throughout the street.
I bet when I remember to bring the camera they will all vanish.

Would love to see a photo of an orange faced budgie. Though I suspect that like the very pink quail I have seen it has been in contact with something that has permeated the feathers. The quail had been on red soil. Love to be proven wrong though.

It is probably dyed. Re-colouring birds is very big overseas. Bird markets in the Middle East are full of plum, pink, magenta dyed budgies and Indian Ringnecks.
