I saw a pic on FB the other day, that is probably the same bird. Comments were that it could be a yellow morph of a Sulfur Crested cockatoo. Craig

I'd say green food colouring, and someone with too much time on his hands :innocent:

If you could catch it, it should be obvious if it has been 'enhanced'

Don't know of any green mutations in any parrot species

Coloured ide say too its left hand side is solid green but right hand side was very patchy with no green in head at all, we tried to see if it was tame but was a wild as the flock, was justa surprise and something different for the kids to see

Maybe it has been the main culprit in wrecking someones roof or TV reception and they decided to "shoot" it with a water gun full of dye? :urgh: These guys are not usually as destructive as the Galahs and Corellas but all can undo screws and make a nuisance of themselves. And some people can get frustrated with them, while not actually wanting to do any real harm.

There are some blue ones getting around Sydney as well, there was an article in the SMH about it.

Sounds like a group of people with dye in their water pistols were up to a prank when the cockies happened along and got added to the prank. :boggle:

It might have been nesting on or eating something that contains a dye. IT IS NOT A MUTATION, THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT NATURAL.
Have a nice day!
