Have seen this pair of Pardalotes looking for somewhere to nest for the last couple of days. The pair were up this length of 50 mm pipe( a broken roll over tarp shaft). Not concerned by my presence much. Taken with my phone from about a metre away. Last year they nested in a hole in the front of my old D7E bulldozer.

I had a similar situation 5 years ago.
They were snooping around the self-watering hanging baskets for several days.
Quickly made a nesting box for them, hung that in the area under our patio and they've made use of it every year since.
They usually have two or three clutches.
Having aviary birds is great, but this beats it all.
