I'm planning on going to the Fairfiled bird sale at 10am - just to look - not selling or buying (but I'll take a cage just in case). I might keep going a bit further and check out the show. I'll be the bloke with two 9/10 year old boys in tow so if you spot me then please say hi.

Sunday 6th May 10am start (for buyers) at the Fairfield showground. It's organised by the Parrot Breeders and something or other Society. I just googled and can't find their website as I thought they'd have a heap of info. All I found was this birdsale.com.au page - http://www.birdsale.com.au/NSW_Fairfield.html

Cheers Sam, I'll attend both, I'm flying solo so watch out for guy walking around dreaming of aviaries thinking I wish I could buy what I see.

Be good to put a face to a name.

Hello All.

i am hoping to be at the Blacktown Show tomorrow, for at least an hour or so...although I have a chap working for me at the moment converting one avairy into two. He says he will only be here in the morning for an hour or so, just to affix the last of the mesh. And seeing that the show is only at best, ten minutes away from me, I feel slightly obligated to attend.
Gee's I didn't realise that seven months ago, when I decided to get back into gouldians it would be so committing and time consuming! Not only is there shows that I feel I should attend, I've joined the Finch Society of Australia & I'm of to Healesville....

It's a good thing!!

Cheers

Don't know if Lukec, Samdavis and Ripley or any others made it to the Blacktown show but would be interested in any comments.

I entered 12 Border canaries and ended up with one 1st, two 2nds, and a 5th. There was a total of 354 Border canaries entered.

I spent an interesting 30 minutes talking to Richard Law who breeds and shows Gouldians on how he goes about breeding them in an aviary and then training them for shows. He mentioned that he is not a member of AFF, but after talking about AFF he may have a look and join.
