If you have time follow this series (if your interested in all things way out back and history),please do, and like us on facebook. The Desert park has started an oral history of TO`s (traditional owners)) of the Park and prominent locals. I missed this one, todays session with John Spencer was mind boggling and an incredible insight to life in the bush as a young aboriginal. MK Turner is a respected elder of the Park and speaks several languages. Each session is an hour on the couch and taped for families of this area to preserve. Its also fascinating for staff, visitors and those that like a bit of history. Most interviews are an hour or so , i guess some of these would appeal to the older generation on the forum but there`s also some valuable life lessons for the young folk too.
Take the time to listen , proud people and no BS.
