Sadly Sam I can't make it. Actually planned to but then realised that the local club are having their Xmas party here
so I must miss out.
Have a great time and all the best for the season.

That's a shame. But don't think you've got away with it - you WILL be speaking at one of our meetings in the new year! :P

Looks like the FSA sales table is trying to move some stock on auction night....

Great night, great crowd. For a first go at a public auction I reckon we did well. :D
A bit squishy inside - we'll need to organise a bigger venue for next time. Most sellers were happy with the prices achieved and I think buyers were too. If you were present and have any feedback (positive or negative) it would be greatly appreciated and will be taken into account for next time. Either post here or PM me or email me [email protected]

Unfortunately I was flat out so these are the only photos. If anyone else has any I'd like copies please.

All I want to know is did you sell Stanley or pay someone to take him away.

Unfortunately he was "passed in" yet again.
I think you're on the right track - I understand the reserve was really low - like less than zero low. :o

I thought the night was very successful for both the public and the sellers.

I know the club was not too sure what the turn out for both birds and public were going to be, and both would have exceeded expectations.

I sold a number of pairs of gouldians for $50, so was pleased with that. What was the most satisfying part for me was the comment that "They are good birds" been said by a couple of people around me when my lots came up for auction. I am not a selective or specialist breeder - just do it for enjoyment, but I do try to give my birds the best possible environment.

My main improvement would be to start the auction earlier - maybe 7:30pm rather than 8:30pm.

I hope this becomes a regular event on the calendar.

Thanks to Sam and the club for putting on the auction.
