Just thought I would give you a heads up.

Some Hotmail email accounts have been hacked.

Yesterday I had an email from my sister, I knew it wouldnt be her...no way would she be out of bed sending emails at 6am on a Saturday..lol.
The email had the title "secure d" and inside was
" [email protected] left you a google notification
CHECK THE FULL BROADCAST HERE"

The words in blue were a clickable link

Ive since had another from a different source this morning, hotmail again, this time telling me
"you have one private email from your buddy
View your full message here"

The words in blue were a clickable link

The headers of both emails read as if they were genuine and when my sister checked she was able to access her email account but found that lots of emails had been sent via her email address.
She has since changed her password and so far so good.

So any of you with hotmail accounts, if you can still get access, check your outgoing mail, and change your password.
Anyone receiving an email from a hotmail account DON'T CLICK THE LINK INSIDE.

"gmail" avoids all of this. Since switching I have had no problems whatsoever. No junk emails at all since the switch.

Try it, gmail makes it easy by sending all of your emails (Sent to your original hotmail account- across to your new "gmail" account for months, until you and all of your contacts have adjusted to your new "gmail" account.) Best thing I ever did!

I havent had any problems either, but then I have very good security, and a completely free internet security person. Even if he does say " by the way mum my middle name is not help desk"
