Hi, birder,s

The world known Onithological artist William Cooper well know for his brilliant colour plate drawing and paintings has sadly
passed away in his home in Cains far North Queensland after a lengthy battle with illness.

Those of us that have had and enjoyed parrots over the years and were aware of the books he and his colleague Joseph Forshaw who provided the text to the " Parrots of the World " series of books that became world wide Bibles to the general
public bird keepers, but also were valuable reference guides to many institutions around the world and were admired
for the incredible attention to detail that made these books so popular to many bird lovers around the world.

I am lucky to have a number of these books, original and a couple of revised editions I purchased back in the 80,s and 90,s

He also had a website if anyone is interested. Google, William T Cooper. and have a look at his brilliant work on the subject. Regards Agapornis.
