So what's the difference between boxing up natives, and foreign birds and taking them to sales ?

Natives come under jurisdiction of the dnre and need a exemption from them to sell at a sale.
While non natives come under the jurisdiction of domestic animals which they require different exemptions for bird sales. No doubt this exemption will now need to be tested at future sales.

I think that petition would be better received and more impactful if it were written more professionally and in a calmer tone.gomer wrote:https://www.change.org/p/jaala-pulford- ... eated=true

I think the writer may have been upset when he wrote it. Perhaps a better written one could be written Shane ? The more people signing more petitions the merrier.ShaneGowland wrote:I think that petition would be better received and more impactful if it were written more professionally and in a calmer tone.gomer wrote:https://www.change.org/p/jaala-pulford- ... eated=true

One "tongue in cheek" suggestion was to give everyone (buyers and sellers) a Bengo to sell as they enter the sale. Everyone then buys and sells each others Bengos. Would be interesting to see how the authorities deal with that. It would certainly make it difficult for them.

I think this woman has some sort of agenda. maybe she needs more birds that need a bird shrink? Next thing she will want to make it illegal to take children on holidays in caravans because they have to spend a weekend/week in a small box? It is the same thing as the birds spending time in a small cage for a sale. Fine if it is not the normal housing.

I was only looking at her website a few days ago, I feel like her message is quite conflicted...does she want to ban keeping birds in general? just companion birds?
There was a article where she referenced how much her pet lorrikeet changed her life for the better.
Just really confused as to what her end goal is here.
