I have copied and pasted a link into a post but it just displays as text. I have used the 'url' tag but that does not seem to work either. I have also tried putting the 'embedded link' script from YouTube but that does not seem to display correctly either. Any suggestions please?....

I think if you copy and paste the link, then have a look at the preview it will look ok . I think that’s how I did it before . Yep just tested it and it worked

The syntax used is very important.
To display this reply I'm using the quotation marks but please don't include them when using writing your text. If you wanted to look at Aussie Finch Forum the address is "http://aussiefinchforum.net/".
to inset this in a post use the URL button in two ways:
1) write the address then highlight it, then press the URL button and it will return "http://aussiefinchforum.net/ or
2) insert or write the code then you can put the address inside it and
3) to be fancy you can give a name/alias to the site by using the form; [url="http://aussiefinchforum.net/]Aussie Finch Forum[/url] and this appears as the link Aussie Finch Forum

Thanks...I thought that was what I was doing as have some experience of html. For some reason the post published with the url tags displayed. Probably just finger problem or too many red wines when I was doing it. Will try with another post later.
