Hi Admin
I am posting this for a would-be new user who made contact on another forum asking for help with registering on AFF. He says that for the past few weeks when he tries to register he is told that his 'IP address is corrupt', yet he has tried from 4 different computers, an iPad and an iPhone.
He has tried registering with these details:
gouldian4 - gouldian4 'at' gmail.com
gouldian1 - luke.cox 'at' live.com.au
Can you help him?
Difficulty registering - Admin please assist

The contact details for admin are listed somewhere on every page throughout the forum, although I can understand that to someone new it might be a bit difficult to find.
So to try and address this situation Ive created a new section under the General tab, titled CONTACT DETAILS FOR ADMIN it will remain at the top, and should also be visible to guest viewers.

I, too, had the same issue when I was registering. I had to bounce my internet connection via Chicago (I live in Adelaide) to trick the IP address filter.

We get a few spammers and over time have accumulated a list of email addresses that allow spam and to stop the flow of useless dribble from these people we have blocked some addresses of the most active.
Tiresome for those genuine people I know, but every forum has the same problems. At least if you persevere you are most probably genuine.

Perhaps a really challenging question (something the user would have to ask Google) on the sign up page would be less frustrating than a huge blacklist that could give many people the impression that they're not welcome. Especially since blacklists aren't very effective against newer spam bots who can change their email/IP address on each failure.
