Question - Board Icons

Hi,

Can someone please explain what the different icons to the left of each topic mean? Mostly red circles, some have little stars, some are animated, etc.

They're "active topic markers". Red ones mean there are new posts (ones you haven't read), plain blue is no new posts, animated means it is/was a "hot topic", one that remained active for a long time with lots of regular posts.
The stars show posts you've commented on.
