Liking the new forum, except oops there seems to be an issue with the 'Home' link (above / http://www.aussiefinchforum.net/) not having been updated. Go there from this page and you will see that is displays the old forum and a logged-out status, whereas other pages show the updated forum and logged-in status.

Then from there, click 'Board index' and you will see that the adventure continues as if back on the old forum. It seems that the old version coexists with the new one, instead of having been over-written by it. A recipe for big problems.

Indeed I am having great difficulty remaining logged-in in some scenarios (like posting this - had to re-type), yet perfectly fine in others.

No idea how all this is possible, except that phpBB isn't the greatest and these things can be painfully complicated. Also, because the old forum was so out of date, the upgrade may not have been able to handle the large leap forward, instead of incremental updates.

Just sounds like the old forum is still cached on your end.

Have a look at this and follow the steps applicable for your browser: http://www.refreshyourcache.com/

Right. That's odd.

I'm looking at it using an-up-to date Chrome browser on a Window 8 PC. Just tested it in Internet Explorer and same problem.

No problem if I go to http://aussiefinchforum.net direct using the address bar - new forum appears as expected. Problem only occurs when clicking links to the apparent same destination - old forum appears.

Very puzzling that this should make a difference. Will check the caching issue.
