In my opinion they should be removed by the poster when all the birds have been sold and at one stage this was an option that was forced previously.
It was a security thing as well by the type of species held for sale and the name and contact details of the seller was taken down when the birds were sold.
I think it should be up to the seller to delete the post or it will be taken down in one month or less not twelve months as that is ridiculous.

Some posters do say all birds now sold, but do not know how to remove the post. 12 months suggestion was because the seller probably still has these types of birds and could be contacted to ask for a hold on the next batch of young.

Ok, i don't have any say anymore but what you are saying FB is what you have complained about even though it will be for 12 months. New members will going through old posts looking for what they want NOW not what they can get in 12 months time. All good. :)

The problem was asking about things that were advertised 2 or 3 years ago, and while people may still have these birds, they may have moved on to others they find more interesting or challenging. I get totally what you are saying about it can still be irritating. But that was my - it's OK point - everybody will have a different opinion. Which is whats OK :)

I think that, within a year, there's a decent chance the poster is still active on the forum and still keeps that species. We can always tweak it again further down the line.

The forum software has been updated to the newest version, and I've also applied a bunch of improvements to the forum design. This is a pretty major upgrade, so please keep your eyes open for any bugs.

A few things you might notice:
- Pages will now load "buttery-smooth", and there's more animations on buttons and icons.
- User avatars no longer show on the homepage. This is a bug and I'm working to resolve it.
- The new version had terrible text colour contrast, most of which I've fixed. Please let me know if you find any text especially hard to read.
