Hello, I’m Bristow and I have just joined the forum.
I have kept birds occasionally in the past, but now I am retired so I can indulge myself.
I look at some of the huge aviaries on this forum and feel envious! I would like to have a huge mixed aviary, fully planted. Currently I have a 4.5m by 2.5 m aviary with one pair each of kakarikis, budgies, diamond doves talpacoti doves, peaceful doves, king quail, and gouldian finches. The birds all get on, and the gouldians are nesting.
I want to build a flight extension at least this size again, and 2.5m high, and I will add some more finches (but no more parrots). Actually this current aviary is contained in what used to be a tennis court, which was closed over completely with netting by the previous owner to grow fruit trees. So I have barbary doves and guinea fowl living loose in the tennis court.
Anyway, I am sure I can learn a lot from all the experience on this forum!

Welcome to the AFF, Bristow.....you should be able to utilise that tennis court space to good advantage.
Enjoy your retirement, birds and the forum...

Welcome to the forum. You havn't thought of just building another avairy, and seperating the finches from the other birds?
