Hi

I've had canaries most of my life and currently have an old canary who seems to be immortal.
I got another canary last May thinking my old bird would die soon, not the case he just keeps going. So I went and got another so I had two canaries.
Anyway I mentioned to my sister thar I would like an aviary, I got one for Christmas and the new canary was going to go in it but he somehow escaped while it was outside I saw him on the gate and that was that.
So I have an aviary and a big cage on wheels, and nothing to put in it, so I've been looking for a bird to put in it. Thinking of a Kakariki, been looking around at different parrot types.
Liking this forum so far, thanks for accepting me...

Welcome to the forum from another canary lover. Why don't you get some more canaries? They sing so beautifully, and if you like singing birds you cant go past the Java. They rival the canary for voice and make a suitable avairy mate and contrast. I have had them sharing off and on for many years without problems. Whatever you decide good luck.

The aviary I have is a Steel Chief 1.5 metres wide x .700 deep and the door is way to big I assumed small birds would just fly out. Not sure what type of birds would suit.
